Ben Cheah is originally from San Jose, California but currently calls Kenai, Alaska home. An energy engineer by day, he looks to break up his long weeks at the desk by exploring the mountains, beach, and forest or by showering in sawdust in his shop. While completing the long list of house projects for his wife, Ben started experimenting with wood art. What resulted is the fusion of his love for power tools inspired by the awe of nature.

Chewallah Designs is a part-time hobby, and while I continue to have a full-time job that supports my recreational woodworking artwork, I pledge to donate 50% of the price of every sale to a charity or nonprofit.
Why do you do this?
Because Chewallah Designs is fun. It gives me a reason to play with power tools, get creative, and try new ideas.
Because there are nonprofits, charities, and organizations in both my local community and across the world that are working selflessly for the benefit of others that can use the extra support.

A list of organizations that I will donate to are listed below. If you don’t see an organization on your list, or if you’re interested in being listed below, please contact me.
How can I know where, and how much of my sale has been donated and to who?
We are more than willing to provide customers with a copy of the donation receipt for their sale. The customer has the option of requesting donation to a specific organization at the time of purchase. If the requested organization is not on the list here, it is up to the discretion of Chewallah Designs who the donation will go to. Email us for more information prior to ordering.
